"Living Life's Goals - Validating Your Value"
Workshops
Scheduling is not confirmed at this time.

The strength of the workshops is the focus on an individual's values about money and wealth. What people are searching for is the meaning of their lives; ultimately, what tangible and intangible legacies will they leave behind. By participating in a self-discovery process about one's beliefs , the workshop encourages participants to consider new ways of thinking about money and its purpose in their lives. When people get in touch with who they are and what and who matters the most to them, they tend to want to think about how they can express that effectively. Money is then considered from a values based perspective- how can people direct their money, not just "spend" it.

There are five workshops, each concentrating on different aspects of examining beliefs about having, accumulating and transferring wealth. The feedback I've received from presenting these workshops is very positive. The participants have appreciated an opening to delve into deeper aspects of their lives. By providing that opportunity for your donors, you may find they will be more willing to donate to your organization.

What are these workshops?

  • The purpose of these workshops is to guide participants on a journey of self-discovery which allows them to identify and crystallize what in their lives is really important to them. It helps them decide what they want to preserve and pass on in the form of a legacy-both tangible and intangible results of their life experiences-by aligning their financial resources in ways that reflect their values.

The desired results of these workshops are:

  • To invite people to identify and release their own limiting thoughts about money/wealth
  • To offer new thoughts which result in new choices and freeing behavior
  • To recognize what in their life is really meaningful and important
  • To provide a path to act on these new - found beliefs

A Synopsis of

"Living Life's Goals - Validating your Values"
Workshops

  • Love Them Enough examines some of the tough issues associated with the inevitable transfer of wealth to our loved ones and community due to our death. The underlying premise is that death is simply another form of change in our lives.
  • The Quest for the Meaning of Money helps clients come to grips with how they define the value of their lives. We're all searching for meaning, purpose, and happiness. What have these got to do with money? We will examine our money-how we get it, how we use it, and what it does for us. In a very real sense money often defines who we are.
  • Where Is Home? is designed to broaden the definition of home to perhaps include community and specific organizations which have provided similar experiences for the donor and donor's family as they have found at home.
  • Wealth and Wisdom concentrates on the topic of money/wealth and the purpose it plays in our lives. We examine both the positive and negative content of messages we received about money/wealth in our lives.
  • From Cradle to Cradle is a workshop created for parents and their adult children. We examine how we have given money human attributes and fail to recognize that it is WE who bring the feelings, emotions, and behavior to money-which itself is neutral.
